So what are they going to do? Strip the titles from almost everyone? Admit that cycling was completely overrun by doping during that time period?

Just great. Armstrong has become the Barry Bonds of cycling. Everyone is doping, but that didn't get exposed until Armstrong/Bonds got caught, forever cementing his name as synonymous with doping. They can't punished everyone so this big name who got singled-out is thrown under the bus to appease the public.

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve punishment. I'm saying he doesn't deserve to be the only one. And he'll be vilified out-of-proportion just for trying to keep up with the other cheaters. (ie everyone else)

Can we make doping legal? Have drug manufacturers sponsor teams to show how their drugs work?

Then there's Eddie Izzard's "Stoned Olympics"
If you're not high, you're disqualified

So will they award the title to Jan Ulrich, who finished 2nd to Armstrong several times?

Oh wait, he was busted for doping as well.

Face it, pro cycling is dirty, dirty, dirty.

From the link:

"It wasn't until the intervention of federal agents...they called these riders in and they put down a gun and badge on the table in front of them and said 'you're now facing a grand jury you must tell the truth' that those riders broke down," McQuaid added.

Oh, FFS. A gun?!? He's really misrepresenting how it happened, if you believe those who came clean. And if you don't, what's it all about? They don't have positive tests, they have testimony.

Wow, what an awful day for pro cycling. This is basically an admission that every single Tour de France winner for at least the past 20 years is guilty of doping.

Feh. He won, the French got mad & have been inventing for this day ever since. All they have is people who have been coerced into saying what they want said.

re: #9 William Barnett-Lewis

The Americans stripped him of his wins and asked the French to acknowledge the investigation. Stop the French bashing already.
